Salary / Pay: CHF 343/week after deductions (approx. Description: Responsibility for the daily supervision and instruction of a small group of children in an international ski camp environment. In addition to instructing a daily programme of skiing and snowboarding, counsellors will participate in a programme of evening activities, supervise meals and be assigned to some wake-up, lights-out and other duties. All staff must be a role model to the children, act responsibly and in a caring manner at all times and show understanding of and appreciation for diverse cultural backgrounds.

Successful applicants will have experience supervising, teaching and motivating children, preferably in a camp environment and be organized, creative, adaptable, trustworthy, patient and presentable. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and fluent in English. Applicants MUST have nationality of one of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States. Paralimni, Cyprus , HOTEL ENTERTAINER (ANIMATOR)

As an entertainer you are responsible with your team for the daytime activities and the evening entertainment. You have to make sure the guests enjoy their holidays and want to spend as much time as possible inside the hotel.

You will work six days a week, about 8-9 hours a day, divided in three parts. (10:00-12:30, 15:00-17:00 20:30-00:00) Although in the beginning of the season you will need extra time to rehearse for the evening shows.

Daytime activities

During the day you will be responsible to organize and coach all the activities such as water polo, volleyball, darts, Olympic Day, Super Team Challenge etc.

Kids club

For the children there are special theme days such as Pirate day, Indian day, Olympic day etc.

Evening program
Every evening starts with mini disco for the children, followed by a game night or a cabaret show organized by the entertainment team. We have shows such as Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Top of the Pops, Movies and Musicals and much more. Of course all performed live and of quality standards

PR
This is one of the most important aspects of being a good entertainer. PR means nothing more than to talk to the guests, inform them about your program and become friends with them. All it needs is good communication skills. After every evening show, the entertainer is expected to PR, which means to talk with the customers, ask what they thought about the show etc. During daytime activities the entertainer should PR, which is promote the evening show and in some cases the theme nights of the hotel.

This 9,000 sq ft full-service facility is complete with a full-line of cardiovascular and strength equipment, group exercise area, softball fields, tennis and volleyball courts, outdoor walking/running trails and provides its members with a complete range of health, fitness and recreational programming including a variety of group exercise classes, recreational leagues, and personal training. This position is ideal for a hands-on manager seeking a motivating, diverse and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities: This key individual is responsible for providing innovative ideas, leadership and direction for the comprehensive programming at the facility, which includes wellness, fitness and recreation programs and activities. Additional key responsibilities include supervising professional staff including the recruitment, training, coaching and evaluation of those staff. Additional duties include fitness testing, exercise prescription and orientation; point-of-sale collection of program fees; coordinating all marketing/promotion efforts; member and ROI data collection and reporting; design and instruction of group exercise classes; and daily administrative/operational tasks.


Requirements: Job requirements include a bachelors degree in Exercise Science or related field and a minimum of 3-5 years corporate fitness experience including a minimum of 2 years program management experience, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Additional requirements include demonstrated skill in marketing & promotions, program development and implementation, excellent leadership and customer service skills, quality orientation, attention to detail, budget and financial management and strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. Current group exercise and personal training certification from a nationally recognized organization (ACE, AFAA, NSCA, or NASM) preferred. Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications required.
